The High School Program

TEENSIGHT is involved with the pregnant and parenting teens at the area's local high schools (Charlottesville, Albemarle, Western Albemarle, Monticello, The Alternative School, Ivy Creek School, and Murray). This high school program offers regular meetings and support groups for any pregnant and parenting youths attending these schools. Experts on a variety of health care and child care issues make presentations throughout the year. Child care assistance is available for students who qualify. Other elements of the groups include individual counseling, communication and conflict resolution skills, mediation training, parenting skills, and employment readiness.
